10 Must-See Dance Performances at Tokyo Performing Arts Market 2014
Japan’s leading dance festival returns this week for an 8-day run in Yokohama, bringing together a wide range of performers from Japan, Asia and the world. Living up to its name in all but location, Tokyo Performing Arts Market is more eclectic than ever this year, offering seemingly something for everyone, from dance enthusiasts to newcomers. Divided into three sections of “TPAM Direction,” “International Showcase” and “TPAM Showcase,” the first allows directors such as Masashi Nomura of Komaba Agora Theater, to present works that they feel deserve an audience.
