An Indian summer in Montreal means a chance to wander and explore on foot, and I couldn’t resist a stop by Moshe Safdie’s Habitat.

The 1967 EXPO creation feels like soviet architecture on a high, an apartment block of grey blocks, but arranged in complete disorder. It feels both private and communal at the same time. Can’t beat the location on the Saint Lawrence River either…
